DHL has pissed me off.
DHL was supposed to be delivering me a package from overstock.com. Because I’m a net freak I tracked the pkg at least twice per day. When I finally saw the projected DHL delivery date was Monday I only started looking once per day.
Imagine my surrise when I checked the DHL status of my pkg Sunday morning and saw that it had been delivered. Nice thing about DHL is their website. Like their better competitor, UPS, they let you see who, what, when and where.
DHL had delivered the pkg somewhere and a receptionist with the last name of York had signed for it. So naturally, because I hadn’t received the pkg I called DHL to see where they had left it.
Talked with a really nice girl Sunday morning and she said someone would call me Monday morning and let me know what was going on. Monday morning while grocery shopping I received a call from DHL.
I explained to her what had happened and she said ok, “If the driver had delivered it to the wrong address they would get it to me and she’d call me back and let me know.” I said what do you mena “IF”. He delivered it to the wrong address because I don’t have it and there is no receptionist here. IF my ass, I don’t have it so they delivered it to the wrong address.
Haven’t heard from her again so I waited until Wed when I called DHL back to see what was going on. With a half hour wait time I decided screw DHL and called Overstock.com and explained to them what had happened. They are sending me out a new pkg.
Hopefully DHL won’t be delivering it. I don’t like arrogant companies that assume I’m a thief because they screwed up. So I have a new policy. I will no longer order from any place that use DHL as their carrier.
I don’t take a lot of crap, I don’t deal with people who act like I’m a thief when they screw up and I certainly don’t deal with companies that condon that behaviour. So, I’m done being treated like a piece of lying crap by DHL and and from here on out will not deal with anyone who uses them.
Perhaps we wouldn’t have this problem with arrogant companies if the rest of you took the same stance in everyone you deal with.

Overstock.com did a really nice job and after they heard what happened they even expidited the pkg so I’d get it before Christmas. I got it and it was exactly what I ordered and expected.
Lol, my GF loves it too as it makes the bed so much softer and more comfortable. Thanks to Overstock I am now sleeping better and so is my GF.
As for DHL. They delivered the freaking pkg. To the right place no less. Don’t know how that happened.
Once again I kept tracking the pkg. When I saw it was out with the driver for delivery I made sure I could hear the door and then sat and waited. I checked the delivery tracking every hour to see if it had been delivered somewhere yet.
Eventually I got the pkg in the late afternoon. Lol, took 2 hours and 31 minutes before I received the email that the pkg was delivered. Heh, I had hoped to use that info to correct the problem quickly but with that long a time between delivery and email that’s bnot feasible unless you get your pkg by noon.
BTW, they still haven’t apologized for their delivering to the wrong place and for making me feel like a thief or implying that I was a thief. Blaming others for your own incompetence is something I won’t stand for.
Maybe you should quit putting up with it too.

Well, well, well. DHL finally delivered my first pjg. Of course I have no use for it now. They never did contact me to let me know they’d found it and still haven’t apologized. However now I have a different problem. Lol, it just keeps getting worse. At least DHL is out of it now and that’s a good thing.
So I called Overstock.com to let them know DHL had delivered the pkg. They said they would send me out a return document for UPS. Nice people to deal with. Courteous and efficient. I appreciate that as I don’t have a lot of patience.
Got an email from them and it had the info in it. Small problem, it assumes I have a printer. It also assumes I’m healthy enough and inclined enough to get a printer and haul the pkg to UPS. I have severe COPD and my GF has rheumatoid arthiritis.
So I bought a printer, needed one anyway. Then I had to drive 65 miles round trip to get a damn printer cable, which, btw, cost more than the damn printer did.
NP except for the fact that my HD is now failing rapidly and getting booted up is iffy. That’’s about all that can go wrong.
Maybe tomorrow, with luck, I’ll be able to get the printer installed.
Funny how things get messed up and seem to never end. I’ll be very glad to see the end of this pkg. Lol, BTW, I don’t have any pkging tape to affix the label with. Sheesh.
