Is Chantix for real?

December 28th, 2007 by Old Dude Medical

Chantix. Heh, lol. Are their commercials for real. I just saw my first ones today. I should go look up chantix and read about it but I’m not going to because I don’t want to ruin this rant with knowledge. ;)
First off I noticed it was 44% effective and the placebo was 18% effective. Chantix is over twice as good as a placebo and I’ll bet it costs a lot more.

Now what the commercial said was not to use nicotine patches or other nicotene replacemnets with chantix. So I paid a bit more attention. The chantix ad said it works by blocking key receptors in the brain so the nicotene can’t get thru. That’s just wonderful, isn’t it?

The side affects were also very ionteresting. Headache, irritability, upset stomach and more that I don’t remember.  They did make sense tho.

You see, blocking the key nicotene receptors in the brain doesn’t allow the nicotene to get thru. I wonder how much they charge for it. Sheesh, I wonder why anyone would pay for it.

Sheesh, the side effects sound a lot like nicotene withdral symptoms. Lol, I can help you save a lot of money and not let those key nicotene recptors in the brain get filled up with nicotene. Really, I can do that. Better yet it’s FREE.

To keep the nicotene from getting to the key receptors in the brain don’t light the cigarette. Simple, by far cheaper and 100% effective.

Why would you pay money for cigarettes to smoke and then pay even more money to NOT get the pleasure from the nicotene that’s in the cigarettes you are smoking?

So, near as I can tell from the commercial, chantix is no more effective than not lighting a cigarette. See, lack of knowledge can be a good thing.
