Easy ground beef recipes to cut the high cost of food
Ground beef is a perfect cost cutter. I found this easy ground beef recipes site and it doesn’t have a lot of recipes but it does have some very good and very easy ground beef recipes.
I know times are tight for you, they are for me too. I cut back on driving to save money, I started eating at home more and I started buying lots more ground beef because it’s cheap and I got tired of chicken.
The next thing that happened was I got tired fo homemade cheeseburgers and frys or meatloaf and baked potatoes. There are a ton of things you cn make from ground beef but the problem is I didn’t know how to make any of them or even if the ones I found would taste good.
So I tried this hamburger potato casserole and it was excellent. However I did discover one problem, it needs way more salt than the recipe calls for. I’ll remember that for the next time I make it.
The sloppy joes I found on the same site were also very, very good. I think I’m going to try a hamburger steak with fryed onions the next time I make something from ground beef.
Another place I’ve been able to cut food costs is with pork loin roasts. They’ve been running them on sale for $2.00 to $1.87 a pound for whole pork loins. They run somewhere between 8-12 pounds. I cut them into 3 or four pieces and freeze them. Mostly I make them in the crockpot with some carrotts and onions.
The high price of pork chops also comes into play because you can take these porn sirloins and cut them into chops too. That makes boneless pork chops 2 bucks a pound or less. Check the price of them at your store and you’ll see what a bargain these whole pork loin roasts are.
Kind of got off the ground beef track there but it is another way to save money on food and still eat well. It’s a ton cheaper than eating out. So if you’re wanting to save some money check out the easy ground beef recipes I just told you about.
