Stressed out over the economy, relax away stress.
If you’re stressed out over the economy or have stress caused by anything you might want to check out this site I found that has some really good stress relief tips.
It’s a series of articles that define what stress is, what being stresses out all the time can cause and gives advice on learning to relax and most important to me was learning ways to recognize earlier, when I was getting stressed out. IOW, stress management.
It made me look back on some of my most stressful moments in life and pick out things that I should have seen as signs, back then. So it helped me learn to recognize, now, earlier in my depression cycle, that I am headed towards getting stressed out. For me it was valuable for that fact alone.
I can handle lots of stress and I can also multi task as good as anyone in the world so few could deal with the stress that I cause myself. I love the adrenalin rush that you can get from being severely stressed and having deadlines, etc. I’m one of those people that doesn’t stress out about buying Christmas gifts for people because I do my shopping on the 24th of December. The holidays stress me more than the gift stuff.
I have no patience with adults, I’m quick with the impatient sarcastic remarks. Typical type A personality. I worked tech support and could handle 3 or 4 calls at a time until I finally realized that ny biggest stress on the job was being forced to go against my nature and be nice to customers. Eventually I quit. What a relief.
There’s a tip for you and I never even intended to give it. If your job stresses you out that much, sheesh, quit and find something you like.
Here’s a couple of things I know you can do to help you stay relaxed. For me they are quick indicators I’m being stressed by something. The first is pushing your tongue hard against your teeth or the roof of your mouth. Learn to feel it and learn to let your tongue relax. If you can keep your tongue relaxed the rest of you will be more relaxed also.
The the second is in the muscles at the top of the nose/bottom of the forehead. When I realize they are starting to hurt I know I’ve been stressed out longer than I should be. At this point I usually leave whatever is stressing me out and find someplace where I can relax.
I’m one of those people that don’t find stress relief relaxation techniques to work well unless I’m alone.
Anyway, go check it out, you might find something to help you in your constant battle against high stress.
