Obama, Wright and Wrong
IMO the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, spiritual advisor to Obama for the last 20 years, has cost Obama the election. The man, Wright, reminds me a lot of Louis Farakahn, the outspoken leader of the Nation of Islam and what he says.
Obama’s campaign booted Rev. Wright from their African American Leadership Comittee. Heh, I didn’t know he and Obama were that tight.
I’ve seen parts of Wrights past sermons on TV and I don’t know that they are taking them in or out of context but a lot of what he says could have been written by Osama Bin Laden. As could a lot of what Farakhan also says.
Obama denying he ever heard Wright give any anti American sermons in church, to me, is the equivalent of Bill Clinton saying he didn’t inhale or that Obama doesn’t go to church nearly as often as he says. I seriously doubt you can be a member of Wrights church and have had Wright as a spiritual advisor for 20 years without hearing and knowing what the man has to say.
I also doubt you can be led and taught by someone like Wright and not pick up a lot of ideas he has or espouses.
Wrights sermons and Farakahns rantings from the past scare white people. It’s the same radical things they hear from Islamic terrorists and they associate black people with bad things. That’s to bad as I think Obama should have had fair chance without others being brought into it.
However your teachers and advisors make you who you are and I just can’t believe that over the 20 years Obama didn’t pick up some things that most whites would find offensive.
One of the most interesting things about race, to me, is that Obama has a white mother and a black father. So why does that make him black? Why doesn’t it make him white?
